First it is important to pick the car park that is most appropriate for your duration of stay. Luton airport has 4 major car parking areas. These are Mid term, short-term, priority set down and the long term car parks. If you are planning a quick drop of for a friend or family member then either head to the priority set down where you can park for 10 minutes for just £1. Or the mid term car park offers free drop off’s and Free parking for up to 60minutes! The only catch is the car park is a 2 minute bus ride away from the terminal – but it is completely free too.

The long term car park is located a little further away from the terminal – 10 minutes by bus. But if you are going away for a longer periods of time then this is definitely the place to leave your car as you will get better discounts. There is plenty of disabled spaces and the bus accommodates wheelchairs.

The best way to book is online through the London Luton website. Try and book as far in advance as possible to secure yourself the lowest rates around.

Luton carnival is hailed as the biggest single day carnival in the United Kingdom, it is attended by many – young and old, making it a fun day out for all the family. Over 150,000 people attend the carnival every single year and the number is on the increase. This carnival was first started in 1976 and has since grown into the massive carnival it is today.

There is plenty to do and see on the day. Numerous beautifully decorated floats pass through the streets, with revellers dancing away to the sound of drums and music. The Luton Museum and Art gallery

The Mostman Collection

You should also check out the Mostman collection. It consists of many old chariots preserved in nearly perfect condition. You will be amazed by the incredible craftsmanship of the builders of these glorious creations. It is held in Stockwood Park and the biggest and it is the most significant collection of this genre in the country. One of the main attractions of the collection is the berline of King Leopold II who was well known as the founder and sole owner of the Congo Free State in the early 20th century.
